Why is the Hunger Games a Dystopian Society?

Why Panem is a Dystopian Society:

Panem is a dystopian society for number reasons.

The first is that a totalitarian government that controls everything and gives its citizens no freedom. . The government in the Hunger Games is known as the capitol. The Capitol controls everything the 12 districts do. They treat them very poorly. Every year the Capitol sends a girl and boy tribute to compete in the Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games, the tributes from each district have to fight to the death until there is only one survivor left. It is a very cruel and inhumane occurrence, which shows how to Capitol controls them.
The capitol created the Hunger Games because several years ago the districts rebelled against the capitol for treating them unfairly. The capitol responded by destroying district 13 and making the Hunger Games.

A second reason that shows why the Hunger Games is a dystopian society is the fat that Katniss and Gale have break the law and hunt for food and to earn the majority of the money that their family earns. Most days Katniss and Gale climb under the electrical fence and into the woods to hunt. What the electrical fence proves is the fact that the Capitol has total control over them and that they are trapped inside their district. Even though Katniss and Gale know they can be flogged for trespassing and poaching they still risk it every day for the fact that they know they have to to survive.
